Abstract
Abstract
An all-fiber based high energy single frequency pulsed laser at 1030 nm with fixed repetition rate of 1 kHz was demonstrated. The system adopts a master oscillator power amplifier configuration. In the main amplification stage, we employed a highly doped, very large core diameter of 50 μm YDF fiber as the laser gain media. 670 μJ, 500 ns pulse train was obtained, corresponding to a peak power of 1.34 kW. Such a high-peak-power and high-repetition-rate SF source is well suited for long range coherent imaging, optical remote sensing, and coherent interferometry, etc.
