Abstract
In this study, to improve the sun-tracking accuracy of the solar furnace, a sun-tracking control system is developed, and the control strategy of combining open-loop and photoelectric semi-closed-loop control is adopted for the system. A solar furnace prototype is built to verify the performance of the control system. Through sun tracking experiments, the tracking accuracy of the solar furnace is analyzed under open-loop and photoelectric semi-closed-loop control. The experimental results show that the tracking error of open-loop control is less than 12.2 mrad. The photoelectric semi-closed-loop control can effectively improve the sun tracking accuracy of the solar furnace with a tracking error of less than 3.5 mrad.
