Abstract
At present, the prediction of shipboard cabin noise is mainly obtained by simulation calculation using FEM, BEM or SEA. These methods are not convenient for rapid engineering prediction. By making a test platform of shipboard cabin noise prediction, we make an experimental study of a simplified engineering prediction approach for shipboard cabin noise based on Source-Path-Receiver system approach. The experimental study shows that this approach is feasible and valid when applied to predict air borne noise level in a sound source shipboard cabin.
