Abstract
A learning organisation is defined as one which communicates a
sense of organisational achievement associated with personal development
for all employees. Visits to several US companies are discussed, and
influences on organisational learning described. It is concluded that no
major differences attributable to national culture exist between US and
UK companies. Ideas are suggested to promote organisational learning.
