Abstract
Abstract
Multi-phase systems are the focus of research in recent times due to their inherent advantages compared to the three-phase counterpart. A lot of research effort has been put to develop commercially feasible multi-phase drive systems. There is a necessity to develop a static phase transformation system to obtain multi-phase supply from available three-phase grid. This paper presents an extension of a novel transformer connection scheme to convert three-phase supply to five-phase fixed voltage and fixed frequency supply already published. The various simulation and experimental results are reported in this paper to prove the viability of system.
