Abstract
AbstractThis paper proposes a multi-module assembly floating dock, which is assembled by a pin-jointed hinge structure between modules. Based on the design wave method, the three-dimensional potential flow theory is used to calculate the loads and analyze the strength of the assembly floating dock, and the configuration is optimized and analyzed. The results show that the longitudinal torque load in the wave load of the floating dock is the largest, and the maximum stress area is the connection between the platform and the column. Based on numerical results, structural strengthening design and analysis were carried out for multiple high-stress areas, which significantly reduced structural stress, with a maximum reduction of 54%, making the structural strength meet the design requirements. The research results of this paper can provide a reference for the design and strength optimization of floating dock configurations in the future.
